Duration of study

The duration of study for the award of the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies is defined as follows:

Two (2) semesters.

Plus (1) one semester for the preparation of the thesis.

The maximum time allowed for the completion of studies is six (6) academic semesters, following a reasoned application by the student and approval by the University.

Course Programme

In both the first and second semesters, courses are taught that directly relate to the field of knowledge that a hotel general manager must have in order to ensure efficiency in any environmental condition. The courses are compulsory. Each academic semester shall consist of a minimum of thirteen (13) full weeks.

The timetable takes into account the specific employment conditions in the hotel industry and the regionalisation of hotels. The courses are partly face-to-face and partly at a distance and operate as follows:

The at a distance classes are held every Monday afternoon starting in the middle of October until the end of May.

In person, the courses will be condensed into 3-4 weeks per semester, in the evening hours from Tuesday to Friday as follows:-

- In the winter semester from mid-November to mid-December

- In the spring semester in February

The above periods are indicative and there may be minor movements. The above periods also include the dates of the optional seminars of the programme.
